Individuals deemed by courts to be a low risk to public safety would be released from jail pending trial, while those deemed a high risk would remain in jail until trial. AB-5 is a bill which establishes more stringent requirements for classifying workers as independent contractors or employees. There will be a ballot referendum that would end cash bail for detained suspects awaiting trial and replace it with risk assessments. Individuals deemed by courts to be a low risk to public safety would be released from jail pending trial, while those deemed a high risk would remain in jail until trial. AB-5 is a bill which establishes more stringent requirements for classifying workers as independent contractors or employees. This may reclassify workers for companies like Uber, Lyft, and DoorDash as employees, allowing them increased protections, benefits, and the ability to unionize. Do you support such a law?

This may reclassify workers for companies like Uber, Lyft, and DoorDash as employees, allowing them increased protections, benefits, and the ability to unionize. Do you support such a law?

There will be a ballot referendum that would end cash bail for detained suspects awaiting trial and replace it with risk assessments. Individuals deemed by courts to be a low risk to public safety would be released from jail pending trial, while those deemed a high risk would remain in jail until trial. AB-5 is a bill which establishes more stringent requirements for classifying workers as independent contractors or employees. This may reclassify workers for companies like Uber, Lyft, and DoorDash as employees, allowing them increased protections, benefits, and the ability to unionize. Do you support such a law?
